Video Games & TV Teach to KILL :-s
After reading the "Video games and TV teach to kill" article, like other body else, I also disagree with David Grossman the most. I never meet him yet, but I think he is a very very very "EVIL" guy who not just teaching kids to kill, his companies also teaching them to like it. But even though I disagree with him in some point, I also agree that those games had affect people and even the children in Viet Nam a lot. Everyday, when I "pick up" the newspaper, I always see some news about people in Viet Nam kill each other and almost those guys who kill each other are play those violent games like some video games that we had discuss in our class. Those games had affect the adult and it will easily affect the young players.
(My ideas, not related to the articles)
I always ask myself that, why, in this world, there are so many kind of evil people like that. Why they don't teach the kids the good things like how to be a good child, how to be respect other, kind like that. I can not believe that, they born to be a bad person who make the world "uglier", each bad person had "contribute" one "ugly" part to the world. I can not believe that, they born to be a bad person who is killing the young "ages"-our future "ages". :D

Homework - Due Wed May 4th
I think twelve or thirteen years old can and CAN NOT be able to play video games that they want. Because base on all the boys in my class, most of them play games that violent a lot but all the girls in my class, they don't.
Girls usually play games that have cute graphics, colorful, fashion, ect. Example like,
That's the reason, why, i think twelve and thirteen year old can and can not be able to play video games that they want.
Girls usually play games that have cute graphics, colorful, fashion, ect. Example like,
- Mario games =>> it about rescue the princess.
- Fashion games =>> girls usually go shopping because they like dress, shirt, skirt, jewelry, ect.
- Games on facebook (Pet society) =>> almost of the animals in there are seem to be cute graphics.
- Smack down =>> it about fighting the others. I have seen that and i have to reallize that those people play that "game" was so SEXY =]] and they are so violent. I remember that, one time, John Cena something (i don't know how to spell his name) was broke his neck because of fighting. I'm scare!!!

Guess Speaker Report
Last Thursday, my class has a guest speaker-Mr.John Golden. He told us about his trip to Bangladesh. He love Bangladesh because it was so green. First time in my whole life, i had never heard the word "Peace Corp", do you know what is means, Peace Corp is an American volunteer program by the United States Government. He lived there for 20 months but in October 15 20008, the twin tower was collapsed so he didn't finish the trip for next 17 months.
In Bangladesh, people said Bangla. Woman wore a sari and the clothes he wore in Halloween called lurigi. When he was still in Bangladesh, he has a sister named Shagkuti. He let us look at the picture that she was in childhood and the picture that he was just caught last summer. She was sitting in front of the ponds. Mr.Golden said that, in Bangladesh, ponds were everywhere because the people always went there to take a bath, or do other thing. At night, he has to use the mosquito net because and in the morning, he had to hang it up, he had to use like that every day. And he had to walk about 100m from his room to the water place every morning to take a bath. So the students or other teacher there thought that he didn't take a bath for 3 years. Hahahaha, so funny right!!!
He was a teacher in Bangladesh. He taught grade 3,4 and 5. He taught about 80 students in one class. He taught English for the students and teacher who will teach other students in English. I remember one of his two favorite students only went to school two days in a week, three other days she had to go help her mom in the farm. Oh and in Bangladesh, the parents think that if in a family there are a lots of kids so there will be more people to work and find money(even though they were taught not to have many children but they seem like they didn't care or they didn't learn or heard about it.)but that is definitely wrong. Because they borned too many kids, there will not enough money for all members.
Before i met Mr John Golden, i used to ask my mom about Muslim and she said that those people are not good and other negative comments. But when through this story about Mr.Golden, i didn't think those negative comments about Muslim any more. Because Mr.Golden told me that those people there were really friendly, nice, happy and hospitable. He remembered that, every day, he always went around the city, and when he passed any food store, the people there was like invited him to eat with them. If that day, he didn't have enough money to eat, he will sit with them but if that day, he has enough money, he won't and he said thank you to them. Those guy who invited him to sit with them were poor but they didn't care about it because they like guest(I think so.).
In the end of the talking, Truong asked Mr.Golden about how does he think about Muslim, does he think they are terrorist and he answered us that he doesn't think so because the people there was so nice, they were wonderful and i also agree with him!!!!!!!!!!!!

Children's Right
The rule that makes me think of the children's rights when i read the story "Carpet boy's gift" was "Every children should have time to play and rest". I think that rule is really important and suitable for us and the boy.(sorry, i don't know how to spell his name:] ) Because, you see, the boy in the story have to work a lot and he even don't have time to rest or play like us. And i think that, not only him is the one who was treated badly, there are many children out there are just like him, too. They are forced to do all the hard work that children doesn't have to do. Instead of do all that hard work that the boy in the story doesn't have to do, he can be educated by someone and enjoy freedom.
